COOPER COUNTY — The suspect in an armed burglary in Cooper County over the weekend will make his first court appearance Tuesday.

Rivanold Tegomo Tekombo of Olathe, Kansas, is charged with felony burglary, kidnapping and armed criminal action. He also faces misdemeanor charges of stealing and assault.

A probable cause statement says the victim returned home from work Sunday morning to allegedly find Tekombo in their residence pointing a firearm at them. The resident fled and called 911.

The Cooper County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol SWAT set a perimeter to negotiate with Tekombo. He exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. His hearing will be at 10:30 a.m.
