Homicide detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying the shooter who killed an 18-year-old man during a fight early Monday morning at a central Lubbock home.

Patrol officers responding to a shots fired call about 4 a.m. at a home in the 1900 block of 41st Street found Lawrence Brantley dead at the scene, a police news release states.

Witnesses told investigators with the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit that Brantley and about a dozen other people were at a house in the area. Brantley and another person got into got into an argument with someone. The argument escalated into a fight that ended with gunshots, the release states.

The release did not disclose the subject of the argument or provide additional details about the suspected shooter.
