A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged shooting in Birmingham.

Lamar Anderson, 21, has also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

It comes after a 15-year-old boy was reportedly shot at near George Street park on Saturday, August 2.

The incident happened at around 9.40pm, police have said.

The alleged victim suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries in the ordeal.

And now Anderson, of Birmingham is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday, September 15.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We have charged a man as part of our investigation into a shooting where a teenager was left with serious injuries.
