GRETNA, Fla. (WCTV) - A pedestrian died early Monday morning after being hit by three vehicles, including two school buses and a Midway police patrol vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just before 6 a.m. on U.S. Highway 90, west of Ash Avenue, FHP wrote in a press release Monday afternoon.

The pedestrian involved in the crash was identified as a 66-year-old Gretna man, per the state agency.

Troopers say the 66-year-old pedestrian collapsed “partially in the roadway westbound on US 90.”

Shortly after collapsing, FHP said he was hit by all three vehicles. Monday morning, FHP told WCTV that the 66-year-old was hit “multiple times.”

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
