CASS COUNTY, Ind. -- A Logansport woman has been sentenced to over 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to supplying fentanyl and other drugs that led to a fatal overdose two years ago.

According to the Cass County Prosecutor's Office, 30-year-old Kayla Lincoln was sentenced last week to 38 years in the Indiana Department of Correction after pleading guilty on May 22 to Dealing in a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death, which is a Level 1 Felony. Her sentence will conclude with the final three years suspended to probation.

Court documents show that authorities responded to a reported overdose on Sept. 2, 2023. A subsequent autopsy that was performed revealed that the victim died as a result of a combined intoxication of fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl and methamphetamine.
