OGDEN — An Ogden man is facing criminal charges accusing him of trying to kill his wife.
Alberto Domingo Seco, 35, was charged Monday in 2nd District Court with attempted murder, a first-degree felony; two counts of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony; plus assault and making a threat of violence, class B misdemeanors.
In June, a woman reported to police that she had gotten into an argument with her husband, Seco.
"During the argument, Alberto held a knife up to (her) and held the blade against her left cheek and told her he was going to kill her," according to charging documents. The woman was able to break free momentarily, but Seco then allegedly pinned her down on their bed.
"He then put his hands around her neck and added pressure, making it very difficult for her to breathe
