GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man is under arrest after a road rage incident led to the death of a bystander this weekend, Glendale police said.
On Aug. 15, around 11:45 p.m., two vehicles were going east on Camelback Road near 51st Avenue.
A brief exchange between the drivers occurred while they were driving. As the two vehicles reached a red light near 51st Avenue and Camelback Road, the driver of one vehicle pulled out a gun and fired a shot in a random direction.
According to Glendale police, a bullet struck a passenger in an uninvolved vehicle. Officials said the woman, identified as 27-year-old Yarely Ashley Hermosillo, was rushed to the hospital by family, but she was later pronounced dead.
