Montana State has been tabbed to play North Dakota State in the 2027 Vegas Kickoff Classic in Allegiant Stadium, ESPN Events announced on Monday.

The game is set for Labor Day weekend in 2027, with game date, time and network to be determined. The game between the teams that have met in two of the four most recent FCS Championship contests precedes a contest between Miami (Fla.) and Utah on Saturday, September 4, in Allegiant Stadium.

Last year, USC topped LSU 27-20 in front of 63,969 in the second Vegas Kickoff Classic. The inaugural event occurred in 2021 with BYU beating Arizona 24-16. The 2027 showdown features three-time national champion Montana State and 18-time champion NDSU.

ESPN Events also announced that the University of Montana would face South Dakota State in the Vegas Kic
