SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - It was a violent weekend in South Bend, as three separate shootings and a death investigation happened in the city in the span of three days.

The shootings left four people, including two kids, injured. Meanwhile, two people were found dead during a welfare check.

The first shooting happened on Friday around 11 p.m. in the 300 block of N. LaPorte Avenue. Police say they were called to the area on a ShotSpotter notification and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

A few hours later, police say they were called around 2 a.m. to the area of Howard and Lawrence streets, where they found a 12-year-old boy who had been shot. He was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuri
