Rewinding Auburn football’s Hugh Freeze post-practice Monday press conference

Auburn football will begin its fourth week of fall camp ahead of its season opener at Baylor on Aug. 29.

Throughout the first three weeks, coaches have thoroughly evaluated players. They will begin to name starters as the Tigers transition practices to game prep.

Here’s a recap of everything Auburn coach Hugh Freeze said following Monday morning practice:

Freeze opens presser congratulating Cam Newton on his jersey retirement this fall.

Freeze says the defense won Friday’s scrimmage. The offense finished with zero turnovers.

Freeze says the expectation for the offensive line is improvement. ‘We expect more out of this group’.

Freeze says Auburn’s OL have not been consistent in the last few practices.

Freeze says he doesn’t see much difference between the 1s and 2s at linebacker.
