Kacey Musgraves, the popular singer-songwriter who has won eight Grammy awards, last week adopted a mare from Oregon with the help of staff at Brasada Ranch, a luxury resort in central Oregon northeast of Bend.
“Hard launching a new relationship,” Musgraves said in a social media post Thursday, with several pictures of her and the horse Nava. “I met this girl in Oregon last summer and fell in love but it didn’t work out at the time.”
The 36-year-old musician, known for hits like “Rainbow” and “Follow Your Arrow,” said Nava was the “horse that reconnected me with my love of riding again and in a bout of sweet serendipity, she popped back into my life a whole year later.”
She thanked a person named Colton at Brasada Ranch and said Nava has now been relocated to her “forever home” in T
