WEST JORDAN – Three homes and multiple vehicles were damaged in a fire on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Trevino, West Jordan deputy fire chief, said it started with two homes on fire, along with several vehicles and a travel trailer. The incident, which happened near 5900 West 7000 South, was reported just after 5:30 p.m.

Trevino said crews found “significant flames and smoke from both homes and the cars, which were quickly extinguished.”

Nobody was hurt, Trevino said, and the cause is under investigation. He said occupants in both homes were displaced.

A third home to the east was also damaged due to the heat from the fire, Trevino added.

The deputy chief also said three teenagers went to one of the homes, kicked in the door, and rescued two dogs prior to firefighters arriving on the scene
