WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) returned to practice Monday, his first time participating after back soreness from an aggravated disc had kept him sidelined since the beginning of training camp.

Head coach Sean McVay did not have any updates on Stafford to share, emphasizing that they remain in a day-by-day approach with Stafford.

Stafford participated in individual and team drills Monday. According to McVay, the Rams ran 26 plays in team drills.

"We're going to keep it a day and really a week at a time, but it's great to be able to see him out there today, and we'll see how this afternoon goes," McVay said after Monday's practice.
