PLAINS, Ga. (WRBL) — The United States Postal Service announced on Thursday that it will issue a commemorative Forever stamp honoring former President Jimmy Carter.
The postal service is planning to release the stamp for purchase on Oct. 1in Atlanta, which would have been Carter's 101st birthday.
Representatives of the Friends of Jimmy Carter, the National Park Service, and the U.S. Postal Service revealed the stamp art on Thursday at the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park in Plains.
