WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - President Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine need to discuss the possible exchange of territory and twice the president was asked whether the U.S. would commit peacekeeping troops to Ukraine. He would not rule it out.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy returned to the White House on Monday for the first time since his fiery meeting with President Donald Trump in February. This time he was backed by several European leaders. He met with President Trump three days after Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

“I think progress is being made,” said Trump.

The president says he wants Zelenskyy and Putin to speak face to face and end the war.
