Kansas Jayhawks coach Bill Self is doing just fine ahead of the 2025-26 NCAA season. The veteran college basketball coach raised some concerns in July after a health scare required a heart procedure.

Self said in July that he felt “strong” while thanking the doctors and people who helped him during that moment. He didn’t forget about the Jayhawks’ offseason and teased fans about a strong season.

The symptoms he experienced are now gone after Self had two stents inserted last month. He is well on track to be ready for the upcoming season, where the Jayhawks will have one of the best players of this class on the roster, Darryn Petterson.
