Descendants of the Cline family seem to have largely disappeared from Cornwall, but their house received new visitors over the Doors Open weekend.

“People have been coming in (the Cline House) because it’s a historical building, with some really long history in Cornwall,” said Cornwall’s visual arts co-ordinator Emily MacLeod, who oversees the Cline House Gallery and Studio .

The mid-Victorian era building at the corner of Second and Amelia streets had one of its most visited weekends as it was a stop for the annual Doors Open Cornwall & SDG .

“I have to say (Sunday), every single person who visited, it’s their first time in the gallery,” said MacLeod, who hosted an even larger crowd on Saturday to launch the gallery’s Fred McSherry collection titled Homage.
