The board of directors at Twelve Elgin Housing Corporation says it is taking steps weekly to address bed bug and cockroach infestations in its 156-unit apartment building.

“The safety, health and well-being of our residents remains our top priority. We have consistently engaged licensed pest control services on a weekly basis. These visits include unit inspections, bedbug treatments and cockroach treatments carried out by trained professionals, with detailed technician reports generated after each visit,” the board said in a statement to The Star on Monday.
