KALAMAZOO, Michigan — A man will stand trial for the 2010 sexual assault of a fellow Western Michigan University student, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced.

Al Allan De Los Santos Mueses, 40, was a foreign exchange student from the Dominican Republic at Western Michigan University from 2009 to 2013. He's charged with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in the sexual assault of a then-20-year-old female student in March 2010.

Mueses was extradited from Miami and arraigned in July.

Various online sources say Mueses appeared in multiple seasons of the VH1 reality TV show 'Love & Hip Hop: Miami.'

Investigators say Mueses sexually assaulted the student shortly after meeting her at the campus recreation center.
