KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Some students at Forest Hills Public Schools had to find another way home Thursday and Friday after families were notified of cancelled bus routes due to the ongoing bus driver shortage.

An email was sent to families at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, notifying families of three cancelled bus routes covering four different schools starting that afternoon.

Cancelled bus routes continued on Friday, August 22, with the addition of a fourth route covering two schools in both the morning and afternoon. As of Friday, the cancellations continue the following week through August 28.
