Two Highway 11 communities are in mourning after a multi-vehicle collision early Saturday claimed the lives of four young people.
The fatal incident occurred at approximately 3:20am on Highway 11 near Moonbeam, approximately 144 kilometres north of Timmins, and involved an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a commercial transport truck.

Officers from the James Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located in Kapuskasing rushed to the scene.
“OPP responded, and confirmed four fatalities,” Constable Michelle Simard of the South Porcupine detachment told The Daily Press on Monday.
There are no further official details on the specifics of the accident at this time.
“The investigation is ongoing by our Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team.”
