ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) - Hurricane Erin is already affecting the Lowcountry with increasing risks and dangers of high surf and rip currents.
The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory and rip current statement for Lowcountry beaches. Officials on Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms are working hard, preparing for whatever impacts the storm may bring, and to keep everyone informed.
“It's a team effort. Everybody is working together as a team to make sure we keep everybody on the beaches safe" said Isle of Palms Police Matt Storen.
