LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky woman is facing numerous charges after she was accused of setting fire to a home in an attempt to kill her mother and boyfriend.

On Saturday evening, Nelson County Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 300 block of Little Union Road in Fairfield, according to a Nelson County Sheriff's Office social media post .

Crews on scene determined the fire started in an upstairs bedroom and quickly extinguished the flames.

Authorities located the suspect, 33-year-old Sarah Shelburne, at the scene. She admitted to police that she set the fire after an argument with her mother in an attempt to kill her mother and boyfriend.
