ORANGE, Ohio -- Councilman Jeffrey Foster has been informed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections that he has enough valid signatures on his petition and will be listed on the Nov. 4 ballot.

There are now four candidates for four open seats on Village Council in the November election.

Other candidates who will be listed on the ballot are newcomer James Boyle, former councilwoman Amanda Kurland and Councilwoman Lisa Perry.

The filing deadline was Aug. 6.

Foster, who filed his petition Aug. 5, learned on Aug. 8 that the petition had been declared invalid by the Board of Elections due to insufficient valid signatures.

Foster said he submitted a petition with 31 signatures. Initially, seven of them were declared invalid for various reasons, such as incorrect addresses.
