PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man will remain in jail until trial after his arrest last week for allegedly sexually abusing two minor relatives.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 19-year-old Daemein Keller was ordered held at a hearing Monday on two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault.
Prosecutors say police responded to a Northwest Peoria residence on August 9th regarding a sexual abuse report.
Police interviewed two minors who told of alleged years of abuse, and that they were reportedly threatened and bribed to stay quiet, and too afraid to speak up until now.
Keller was then interviewed by police, who allegedly admitted to the abuse. He was arrested on August 14th.
