GRAND HAVEN, MI – An auto part manufacturing plant in Grand Haven is planning to close, laying off all 64 of its employees.

NPR of America, Inc. is shuttering its plant located at 11118 U.S. 31, Grand Haven, the company said Aug. 12 in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice.

The plant will close in 2027, but the majority of the layoffs will happen by the end of 2025, the letter said.

NPR’s letter about the closure is posted on the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity website. The Federal WARN Act requires businesses to provide advance notice - at least 60 days - in cases of qualified plant closings and mass layoffs.
