TOWER CITY, Pa. — Williams Valley has won back-to-back District XI Championships, but hasn't been able to get past the quarterfinal round of the state playoffs.

A 28-13 win over Schuylkill Haven in the District Championship gave the team momentum heading into the state playoffs. The next week, however, the Vikings fell 28-21 to Riverside, failing to accomplish what they set out to do in the beginning of the year.

The message in Williams Valley is simple, state championship or bust.

"We watched that game on film a couple of times now in the offseason, and I think just knowing that they could have won that game, you know, a couple of mishaps, a couple of mistakes-" said head coach, Stephen Sedesse.
