MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - The calendar is not three weeks into August, but it’s a game week for the Kansas State Wildcats. On Saturday, No. 17 K-State will take on No. 22 Iowa State in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

The football game will be played more than 4,000 miles away from Manhattan, Kansas. K-State head football coach Chris Klieman is grateful for the opportunity to showcase American football on the international stage.

“You’re crazy if you don’t pinch yourself to say, ‘Wow, what a moment we’re in right now,’” Klieman told reporters ahead of Saturday’s match-up.

It’s a big-time match-up in Week Zero for the Wildcats – who are taking on a team who has beat them twice in a row and played for the Big 12 title a year ago.
