MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - The calendar is not three weeks into August, but it’s a game week for the Kansas State Wildcats. On Saturday, No. 17 K-State will take on No. 22 Iowa State in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
The football game will be played more than 4,000 miles away from Manhattan, Kansas. K-State head football coach Chris Klieman is grateful for the opportunity to showcase American football on the international stage.
“You’re crazy if you don’t pinch yourself to say, ‘Wow, what a moment we’re in right now,’” Klieman told reporters ahead of Saturday’s match-up.
