MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Sunday marked 41 years since the murder of Darlene Hulse in Marshall County.
The trail has gone cold for more than four decades , but Darlene’s youngest daughter says she’s hoping the police will solve this case.
“I’ve heard nothing but spectacular things about her,” said Kristen Hulse Rooks.
Kristen lost her mom when she was only 11 months old.
Indiana State Police say she was preparing to leave her house in Argos Rooks with her other two daughters on Aug. 17, 1984, when a man who disguised himself as a delivery man rushed into to her place.
Darlene fought with the intruder for some time as two of her daughters ran out of the house and ran into their grandmother’s house.
When police arrived on scene, Darlene was gone.
