BARDSTOWN, Ky. — Days before the last two men convicted in Crystal Rogers' murder were set to be sentenced, a Nelson County judge has delayed the hearing.

Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson were set to be formally sentenced in the Bardstown mom's 2015 disappearance and murder on Thursday, Aug. 21.

In July, a jury found Houck, Rogers's ex-boyfriend, guilty of murder (principle or accomplice) and tampering with physical evidence. Lawson was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Both men were recommended to serve the maximum prison sentence: life in prison for Houck and 25 years in prison for Lawson.

In a new order filed Monday, Judge Charles Simms said due to Lawson's "ongoing serious health issues" sentencing has been pushed back to Wednesday, Sept.
