(WXIN/WTTV): Federal authorities have arrested an Indiana woman who allegedly threatened to kill President Donald Trump.

According to the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, 50-year-old Nathalie Jones of Lafayette was arrested on Saturday on allegations that she threatened to kidnap and take the life of the president on social media.

The release said she was charged in U.S. District Court with "threatening to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, and transmitting in interstate commerce communications containing threats to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another."
