If Texas Republicans approve President Donald Trump’s proposed congressional maps, Bexar County Commissioner Grant Moody (Pct. 3) says he’s interested in helping his party pick up a seat.

Moody represents the North Side and his county commissioner precinct overlaps with the reshaped 35th Congressional District the GOP hopes to create.

He does not live within the new district’s boundaries, he told the San Antonio Report. But members of Congress aren’t required to live in the district they represent.
