President Donald Trump brought up elections in California on Monday while talking about his opposition to mail-in voting.

While taking reporter questions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, Trump claimed that “mail-in ballots are corrupt” and said that “you can never have a real democracy with mail-in ballots.”

He said his lawyers were crafting an executive order to end mail-in voting, though constitutional experts told CNN they expected federal courts would find the president lacked the power to do so.

The president also claimed that the U.S. was “just about” the only country in the world that uses mail-in voting. In fact, dozens of counties use mail-in voting , including Canada, the U.S., Germany, Australia and Switzerland.
