The Texas Rangers scored three runs but the Kansas City Royals scored four runs.
The Rangers had five hits through the first two innings tonight and all that amounted to was one run. By the time they scored again in the sixth inning, the score was 4-1 Kansas City. The Rangers also didn’t draw a walk, had one extra base hit all night, and ultimate didn’t do enough with their opportunities with runners on base.
By the time Texas scored their third run with two outs in the eighth, they were running out of at-bats to complete a comeback. Ultimately, as expected, Sunday’s ten run outburst in Toronto was nothing but a mirage for a club that has shown over and over again that two or three runs is about the best that you can expect.
