CTA commuters were escorted off trains stuck behind a derailed train at the Howard station Monday night, CTA officials said.

About 7:40 p.m., trains were halted as a Yellow Line train derailed ahead of them, a CTA spokesperson said.

CTA and Chicago Fire Department crews escorted the riders off the trains that were stalled behind the derailed train and back to the Howard platform; no injuries were reported.
