TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — School choice has been a hot topic in Idaho. The Magic Valley has several public school options, including charter schools.

“It’s really fun to watch any grade level and their growth,” said Todd Hale, the principal of Gem Prep Twin Falls. “Our retention has been 90% plus.”

The school is one option parents have in the ever-changing school choice landscape in the Magic Valley.

Hale is the school’s principal and said one way they are different from a traditional public school is their ability to meet students where they are academically.

“Not every child is the same, not every teacher is the same, so we all develop and learn together,” Hale said. “I really love how we advance scholars.”
