Redistricting imbalance latest democracy threat

Independent commissions should do redistricting in every state.

The current administration (or should we say regime) is terrified of the American people. It is appalling that Indiana has a supermajority, which was achieved through gerrymandering. Not only are seven of the nine congressional districts gerrymandered to Republicans’ advantage, they aim to take control of all the districts. Gov. Mike Braun and his administration are bending the knee to a wannabe dictator.

Additionally, state and local officials are doing everything in their power to suppress the vote. Earlier this year, there was a discussion in the legislature of changing early voting from 28 days to 14. In Allen County, as many may recall from last year, long lines for early
