We do need some rain as drought conditions are developing, and there is maybe some significant rain in the forecast on Wednesday through very early Thursday. It will be windy Thursday into Friday morning as Erin misses Connecticut to our east. Warmer temperatures return late week with another awesome August weekend ahead.
We are very lucky here in Southern New England as a cold front comes down from Canada and deflects Erin away from Connecticut. It will likely be a Category 2 hurricane as it pulls away from the Mid-Atlantic and New England coastline later this week. Rough surf and dangerous rip currents are expected all the way north to Maine. Boaters and open ocean beach goers need to pay attention to advisories!
