A new era of New York Jets football seems to be on the horizon.

In search of their first playoff appearance since 2010, New York's front office will make any changes necessary to help its team get there. That could mean the release of last season's third-round pick, wide receiver Malachi Corley.

Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport listed Corley as the one player that the Jets should release prior to their season opener next month.

"Corley was essentially invisible for the Jets as a rookie -- three catches for 16 yards in 83 snaps and a would-be touchdown run that became a turnover when dropped the ball to celebrate before crossing the goal line," Davenport wrote .
