A man has been airlifted to hospital following an incident in Peterhead .

Emergency services rushed to the scene in the Aberdeenshire town just after 10am today following reports of a man injured within a premises at Keith Inch - the easternmost point of mainland Scotland.

An air ambulance was seen landing nearby, before a police van followed the helicopter crew to the scene.

The 30-year-old was flown to hospital via Air Ambulance for treatment. The matter is due to be referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
