The crown jewel of Friday nights is upon us, as Daviess County football begins again.

With the new tradition of North Daviess and Washington opening the season together, it does guarantee only one of the two teams can go undefeated. ND hosts the Times Herald Hwy. 57 Helmet game this year and hopes to win it back with after defending it five seasons. After a win last year, WHS hopes to keep it for a second straight season.
