The Blues signed veteran winger Milan Lucic to a professional tryout on Tuesday morning, adding another body to compete for a job in the bottom six of the team's forward group.

Lucic, 37, has not played a game since Oct. 21, 2023 with Boston. He only played four games in the 2023-24 season after he injured his ankle, and then was put on an indefinite leave following a charge of assault and battery against a family or household member.

The charges stemmed from an incident on Nov. 18, 2023, but were dropped in Feb. 2024 when Lucic's wife Brittany declined to testify against Lucic.

Blues coach Jim Montgomery was coaching the Bruins at the time when Lucic was in Boston for his second stint with the club.
