Donald Trump had the afterlife on his mind when speaking to Fox News over the phone Tuesday.
Trump confessed to the hosts of "Fox and Friends" that the reason he's trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine is to get into heaven.
"I just want to end it. If I can save seven thousand people a week from getting killed, that's pretty good. I want to get to heaven if possible. I'm hearing I'm not doing well. I hear I'm at the bottom of the totem pole. If I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons," said Trump.
The comments prompted several reactions from those who pointed out some of the things they perceived would block Trump from his life after death. Some posted videos of Trump with accused molester and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Others mentioned Trump "disappearing people from their families and throwing them in internment camps."
"Never mind Trump, who's reached the age of 79--What about all the CHILDREN who've been sent to heaven unnecessarily and way too early because Trump hasn't put enough pressure on Israel to stop killing and starving Gazans, and on Russia to stop killing and maiming Ukrainians???" radio announcer Stew Berger posted on X.
The official Lincoln Project account pointed out a larger question around the president's health.
"Lots to unpack here... but mostly, his health can't be right if this is top of mind for him," the group said on X.
Trump was diagnosed with a condition that plagues elderly people last month. Observers noticed that Trump's foot appeared to be barely able to fit in his shoe and his hand showed such a startling bruise that he had makeup on it to hide it, the Associated Press reported.
"Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, which occurs when little valves inside the veins that normally help move blood against gravity gradually lose the ability to work properly," the AP wrote.
