LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A 37-year-old man was arrested Monday night in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Lake County after a family member brought him back to the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened around 9:10 p.m. on Radio Road near Patrick Drive.
According to a crash report, a 2012 Toyota Tacoma driven by Kevin Edward Custer was heading north on Radio Road when it struck a 75-year-old Leesburg man.
Troopers said Custer drove off and he was later brought back to the crash scene by a family member.
Custer was arrested and faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and DUI manslaughter.
An investigation is ongoing.
