A 26-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the left eye and a wound to the right leg during an argument Monday evening in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 6000 block of South Artesian Avenue. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim had been arguing with two known males when the males opened fire toward the building, police said.
The victim was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and listed in good condition. A short time later, two males were taken into custody and charges were pending. Originally Published: August 19, 2025 at 8:46 AM CDT
