The Vernon Fire Department said it rescued a 40-year-old man who got stuck over the weekend in a tube slide at a playground

When firefighters arrived, they found the man "wedged feet and head first down the slide"

Authorities detached a part of the slide in order to get the man free "within 30 minutes"

A man’s trip down a playground tube slide over the weekend took an unexpected turn when he became trapped inside — prompting a rescue.

The Vernon Fire Department said in a statement that firefighters were dispatched to Northeast Elementary School in Rutland City, Vt., on Saturday, Aug. 16, to rescue an unnamed 40-year-old man who had gotten stuck inside a slide on the playground while apparently with his children.
