A new national ranking released Tuesday finds that California is the “most fun” state in America, easily beating second- and third-place Florida and Nevada.

The WalletHub personal finance website compared the 50 states across 26 key indicators of a “good time that won’t break the bank.”

The data ranged from measures of weather and beaches, to average movie and wine prices, to the number of golf courses and nightlife options per capita.

“There are certain states where fun is not just an option but also a way of life,” WalletHub said in its analysis.

“These states offer such a variety of activities that everyone will be able to find something that excites them, from people who crave the outdoors and athletics to those who would rather sit down for a film.”
