Ryan Paevey will be back on “General Hospital” in September, even though the ABC soap opera previously killed off his character.

Paevey played Nathan West, the love interest of Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), from 2013 to 2018. Nathan died after his biological father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), shot him.

After his time on “General Hospital,” Paevey went on to star in several Hallmark Channel movies , including “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” and “A Little Daytime Drama.” His return to “General Hospital” comes one year after he announced that he was “taking a step back from acting.”

Paevey cited wanting to spend more time with his mother as she battled lung cancer as well as frustrations with the entertainment industry.
