IOLA − The Iola Old Car Show Inc. is seeking a new specialty license plate from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles.

The organization, which coordinates the Iola Car Show and Swap Meet, has submitted an application, a development fee of $15,500, and the signatures of 500 Wisconsin residents who intend to purchase the special plate if it is approved, according to the WisDOT website . According to its application, the group would collect $25 annual donations for each plate and for each registration renewal to support the organization.

The annual Iola Car Show and Swap Meet has been held for more than 50 years and serves as a fundraiser for about 120 nonprofit, civic and community organizations, according to an announcement from WisDOT. Annual attendance
