BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. — Bullitt County Public Schools announced all schools within the district will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025.

The closure is due to a water main break , according to a BCPS social media post.

Schools currently don't have running water, functioning toilets or HVAC systems. With outside temperatures nearing 90 degrees, school officials say it is not safe to keep buildings open for students and staff.

This is not an NTI day, according to BCPS officials.

"At this time, we do not have a timetable for when service will be restored, but we will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as quickly as possible," a BCPS social media post said.
